| PURIFICATION METHOD | Broken cells undergo clarification, ammonium sulfate precipitation, ultrafiltration, cation exchange chromatography, zonal centrifugation, size exclusion chromatography and sterile filtration. |

| ANALYSIS | Immunological activity is tested in quantitative immunoblot with anti-HPVL1 antibodies. Lipid content (total lipid) and carbohydrate content (by Anthrone method) for each lot is also tested. |
